Why We Meet
At each meeting there is magic and fellowship. We will discuss the business of the club, hear from local magic dealers and see some demonstrations of new magical effects or techniques.
Then we get down to the real fun of performing, teaching, and learning effects and techniques.
The membership is varied: professionals, semiprofessionals and amateurs joined together by their love for the magical arts.
The atmosphere is light and supportive, which is a great place to try out new effects or to perform for the first time. Performance is not mandatory but is encouraged.
Besides the monthly meetings other activities include...
- Bringing in various lecturers on the art of magic.
- Putting on an annual stage show called "The Stars of Magic" to raise money for the club.
- An annual banquet at which we have a nice dinner and see some magic.
- Occasional special projects like staging a full-blown magic convention called the "Klamm Bake" which brought in big names like Aldo Columbini, Johnny "Ace" Palmer, and Daryl to perform and to teach.
